<뉴시스> 30일(현지시간) 프랑스의 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19) 사망자가 일일 최대 증가치를 기록하면서 3000명을 돌파했다.

프랑스 보건 당국은 이날 자국 내 코로나19 누적 사망자가 3024명으로 하루 동안 418명 늘었다고 발표했다고 더로컬, AFP 등이 전했다.

이로써 프랑스는 중국, 이탈리아, 스페인에 이어 네 번째로 코로나19 사망자 수가 3000명을 넘어섰다.

프랑스의 누적 확진자는 4만4550명으로 전날보다 4376명 증가했다. 미 존스홉킨스대학 집계를 보면 프랑스는 미국, 이탈리아, 스페인, 중국, 독일에 이어 코로나19 확진자가 가장 많다.

프랑스에서 피해가 가장 심각한 지역은 수도 파리 일대다. 이 지역에서는 환자 치료를 위한 병상 부족 우려가 높아지고 있다.

제롬 살로몬 프랑스 보건국장은 이웃한 이탈리아에서 지난 며칠새 신규 확진자 증가율이 둔화하고 있다며, 프랑스에서도 이번 주말 상황 개선 신호가 나타나길 바란다고 말했다.
